The American Council of the Blind of Minnesota (ACBM) began in the early 1970's, as the "Gopher State Blind Association." The name was changed to the American Council of the Blind of Minnesota in the early 1980's, when the organization became formally affiliated with the American Council of the Blind (ACB).
The American Council of the Blind of Minnesota is an organization that looks to the future, while recognizing the lessons taught by the past. Please join ACBM in making a better future for all blind Minnesotans.
ACBM is a 501(c)(3) organization. If you would like to donate, it will be tax deductible.

You can pay via paypal on our website www.acb.org/minnesota, send a check to the post office box ACBM, Box 7341, Minneapolis MN 55407 or pay at the meeting. If you need to cancel, call Info Express at 1-866-929-2226 BEFORE 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 27th. If you cancel a reservation AFTER 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 27th you will be charged for the meal. |

Quarterly Meeting notes: In addition to ACBM business, we will be holding annual elections for President, Secretary and 2 board member positions as well as a delegate for the ACB National Convention in Columbus, Ohio, from July 4th to July 12th, 2013. The following members are running for office as of this posting: President: Nichoel Schlender Secretary: Marian Haslerud There are 2 Board positions currently held by Jeff Mihelich and Mike Hally. Both individuals are eligible to run again and plan to do so. Other individuals who have expressed interest in running for the Board are Larry Lura, Catalina Roisum and Juliette Silvers. Depending on the outcome of officer elections there may be other positions available. If you have any questions about the duties of the open offices feel free to contact the Nominating Committee. If you would like to nominate yourself or another individual (with their permission), please let the Nominating Committee (Jeff West or Janet Dickelman) know. And if that wasn't enough, we will also be holding the bake sale so please bring lots of goodies for this fund-raiser and money to buy goodies as well! Looking forward to seeing you in April.
