MCB Welcomes An Executive Director.


At its April 23 meeting in the Clarion Hotel in Kansas City, the Missouri Council of the Blind Board of Directors elected
Bev Armstrong to the position of Executive Director. Bev began her duties on May 2, 2005.

Prior to coming to work for MCB as Executive Director, Bev was a part time office supervisor in the MCB office.

For fifteen years, prior to her retirement from the Presbytery of Giddings-Lovejoy on August 31, 2005, and coming to work
for MCB, Bev was the Hunger Action Coordinator for the Presbytery of Giddings-Lovejoy, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
Bev holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Relations and a Ph.D. in Humanities from Missouri Valley College.

Her responsibilities will include community outreach, being an active partner with other disability groups in the community,
some grant writing, public speaking and supervising the operation of the MCB office.
