Share A Fare is a cab subsidy Program for residents of the Greater Omaha area who are not able to drive because of poor vision. Share A Fare allows participants to purchase cab coupon books at a fifty percent discount. For example, a participant can purchase a coupon book with a face value of $25 for $12.50. A person is limited to purchasing $75 face value each month. The coupons are used to pay all or part of an individuals cab fare and do not have an expiration date. Additionally, a participant is not required to use all of their coupons before ordering more.
The participating cab companies are Happy and Safeway. Each Happy and Safeway book has a face value of $25 and contains twenty-five $1 coupons. A person can order less than the maximum. When ordering by mail always add $1.50 for postage and handling regardless of how many books are ordered.
After completing the application and having it signed by an authorized person, the application can be returned to the address provided on the form. When ordering by mail please remember to add $1.50 for postage and handling. Coupon books will be mailed by the 25th of the month if checks are received by the 20th.
