[aavl] THOUGHT ON PAST PRESIDENT

Hello TeddieJoy, (Bill here)

Teddie, keep in mind that Doc Ed resigned in a huff, saying that AAVL was not the organization he thought it was and was not for him. Personally, I agree strongly with his view.

Since Doc Ed has been eliminated as an officer, Oral now moves up to President, leaving Nola still hanging there are Past-President. (I think)

Bill

  Hi Robert,

Technically, she is not past president. However, is Ed Bradley interested in filling that position? We may be without a past president until the next election. When will that take place? Is Oral Miller interested in running for President. If not, he would be official past president when another one is elected.

It was mentioned that Nola was the past president when Doc was president. The question was is Nola still the past president after Doc resigned. Now if Doc had been voted out, he would become past president displacing Nola. However, he resigned and cannot be considered as such. He has simply left being an officer and, even though he may have contributed much, he doesn't figure into the structure of officers anywhere.

I believe the past president before Doc was Nola. The past president after Mr. President Doc resigned is still Nola.

    Robert Rogers
