You may have already seen the message I sent out to this list last night 
just after I subscribed over 20 AAVL members to it.  This list is just like 
the ACB-L list except it is limited to only members of AAVL.  To use it, you 
address messages to
aavl at acb.org
All such messages are then sent out to all others on this list.  Any 
messages which you do a returned to other messages received from this list 
will be seen by all on this list.  You need to do no more to stay on the 
list except to keep your dues current.

Noone can get on this list unless the list moderator permits it.  I, as the 
moderator, can put you on or take you off.  Presently, I am the only 
moderator, but sooner or later, I will find another who can assist with 
administration of the list.  I will do my best to be fair and low profile.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.  Keep your dues current on the year of July 1 through June 30.  When I 
subscribed you last night, I used the membership list which showed you as 
paid for 2009 and some for 2010.  Those with 2010 are good through June 
2011.

2.  Be nice:  courteous and don't clutter with mindless forwarding of 
lengthy messages from elsewhere.

3.  Forwards may be allowed, but please clean off all extraneous stuff and 
of those asinine strings of email addresses so often carried with them.

4.  It might be good if your messages are mostly in the interests of most 
others on the list.  We will have to feel our way through this one.

Again, I hope to keep low profile throughout all.
