RE: The New AAVL Email List

FM: Robert R Rogers, list Administrator

FYI: In case you may have missed the 2 messages I sent out in the last few
days, I was authorized by Oral Miller and some of the board in a telephone
conference call to establish this email list. It has been set up through
the national ACB server. Its purpose is to make possible quick
communications among AAVL members and board. It will be possible for board
announcements to be sent out quickly to those on this list. It is also
possible for any of us nobodies to email among ourselves about issues of
interest to ourselves. With the ACB national convention up-coming, you may
see announcements relating to the convention. On the other hand, if any of
you have questions relating to the convention, post them here and someone
may have a quick answer.

HOW TO SEND MESSAGES THROUGH THIS LIST: Any person on this list may send
messages through it so that all others on it will see such messages. It is
like the ACB-L list except the special people, like us, are using this one
privately. smiles. To send messages to this list, send them to:
aavl at acb.org
You may do simple returns on messages you see here and they will be seen by
all.

MORE MEMBERS WANTED FOR THE LIST: At present, we have only 20 to 30 of the
77 members on this list. When I set up the list, I went through the
membership list and subscribed all of those I could find who had dues paid
up for 2009 and 2010. It may be that I may have missed a few, but I tried
to be careful. If you know of someone who should be on here, contact me
directly or have them contact me so I can put them on. My contact
information appears at the end. However, I need to be able to find those
persons on my membership list. I frequently get requests from all kinds of
phantoms who nobody knows. They are probably spammers trying to get in.

THE DUES TERM is July 1 through the following June 30. Thus, those paid up
for 2009 will have dues expiring on June 30, 2010. For 2010, you are paid
through June of 2011.

HOW TO GET ON AND OFF THIS LIST: The AAVL list is closed and only current
members may be on it. The administrator, me and maybe one other, is the
only one who can subscribe you to the list. The administrator can take you
off if there is reason. However, I am easy. smiles.

Hey folks. Somebody send me a message so I know my message is making it to
you. It gets lonely here, sitting at my keyboard, hour after hour, day in
day out. smiles

Robert Rogers
