Gee Bryan,
I am also totally blind and use a pump.  There are ways to tell all those
things-obviously her doc is ignorant about blind people's capability.

Dear Veronica:

Are you using a pump as a totally blind person?  Interesting.
Friend of mine's wife was total and wanted a pump but was told
she wouldn't be able to tell when it was out of Insulin or
otherwise malfunctioning.
