Hi everyone!
Actually, the solo is a fully accessible talking meter. I believe it
was developed working with some NFB chapters. If I heard correctly,
the web site is www.solometer.com. They have supposedly designed the
strips to be larger and easier to handle for those with nuropathy as
well, supposedly with good tactile markings to show which side is up
and which end goes into the meter. They say the strips have four
leads instead of three for better judgment as to whether or not
there's enough blood on the strip. Apparently, there is a "not enough
blood" message. Of course, how some insurance guy can say it's
better, that's another story. But it is real.
