Hello, Chris,
It seems to me that the biggest problem for blind users of a glucose meter
is sticking the finger, then finding the devious little blood drop or red
gusher with the strip. Is the little finger ring recepticle near ready for
the market?
I finally worked out a do-it-myself technique for finding the test spot on
the finger, then using the thumbnail to mark the spot, where the lancet is
placed and the needle spring released. I notice that the technique works
accurately, but the problem still remaining is that the cooperation of a
blood drop varies from hour to hour, depending on how much blood is being
pumped throughout the body as activity levels vary. Sometimes the meter
beeps quickly; but there are times I have to play a waiting game or quit and
begin again with another finger. So, I think the locater ring will be as
close as we can get to knowning what's going on at the skin level.
Hope you are well and business is going well.
Bill Lewis
