The product in this noodle is glucomannan which is a soluble fiber and can
be used to treat constipation. It has not been shown to be effective for
weight loss and several companies have had suits filed against them by the
Food and Drug Administration for false claims. Because it is fiber it
causes you to feel full early so the theory is you don't eat as much.
Overweight people might lose weight which would improve their blood sugar
control. Now we don't want you to decrease the amount of food you are
eating because of your low albumin. You need to eat , especially protein.
The other problem is this fiber can interfere with any medication taken by
mouth and decrease how effective they are so you have to not take any
medication when you eat these noodles. Taking it with blood sugar
medications might cause your blood sugars to go too low and you would have
to check your blood sugars often and might need the medication adjusted. .
I have pasted the information below.
In pill form it can be a choking hazard as the fiber swells up in your
throat. It's not really a Miracle Noodle. They are just promoting it
that way. It is not something I would recommend. This is really just
a hyped up advertisement to sell a product.

This is the last part of the 7 part email course on basic nutrition
as it pertains to Shirataki Miracle Noodles.
Portion control can be the hardest thing to learn in becoming a
healthier eater.
My guidelines are as follows. See each meal as a combination of
three things, a fat, a protein, and a carbohydrate.
This can then be subdivided down to a healthy carb, a healthy fat,
and a healthy protein. Healthy proteins are fish, chicken, bison,
and some cuts of beef. Healthy carbs are low glycemic foods but in
general if you stay away from white flour, white sugar, white
rice as well and corn syrups you should be ok. Healthy fats include
unsaturated fats like olive oil or the fat found in salmon.
Each meal should have some of each in the right portion for you.
How do you choose the right portions, well you need to assess
you activity level and needs.
There should only be one portion of each of these things, one piece
of bread or one potato, or if you wish skip the carb during the meal
and have it as some fruit for desert. You see where I am going with
this.
Of course this little course wouldn't be over unless I tried to
convince you that I see Miracle Noodles as a first step in leading
people away from avoiding high carb comfort foods and substituting
what I think is an attractive alternative, Miracle Noodles.
In addition, they make a truly great addition to anyone who truly
loves food.
Once you try the noodles and see that there is a difference in your
life, in the way you feel and your weight when you blood sugar is
not bouncing around, you WILL be led to learning more about
nutrition.
So, why not try the noodles and see if you like them. I think you
will of course. The best
noodles to start with are the 10 pack of angel hair.

what it will be like to have the changes that I mentioned above.
