[acb-diabetics] Vit. D insufficiency may cause diaabetes

Oh Nancy! Your message had me howling! That kind of Amen! laughter! 
When I was diagnosed in 1988, I was given all of this very specific 
diet information, which completely changed five times over the next 
three years. And there do seem to be these fads. Now, it may turn out 
to be partially true, who knows! But right now the lack of vitamin D 
seems to get the credit for everything except tooth decay and that's 
probably coming next week. <big grin.>
Sometimes I just stop reading stuff. Kind of along the lines of okay, 
write me when there are instructions for curing this disease for 
real. Till then, let me manage it. Of course, the intelectual side of 
me knows that all of these intermediate steps are necessary in 
getting to that point and in the end, I suspect that we're going to 
discover that there are a huge range of things that can cause the 
system to go crazy and result in diabetes, and there isn't just a 
single trigger.
In the meantime, I just don't pay much attention to all of this 
stuff. <grin.> And I manage me the best I can, which is to say, 
sometimes I'm better than others. <grin.>
