News Wire:
Prodigy Diabetes Care synopsis
The mission of Prodigy Diabetes Care is to bring the very best and most high tech products to market for blind and low-vision diabetics, giving them complete accessibility and total independence.
Prodigy was the first to answer the call of the NFB, AFB and other blind associations several years ago with development and release of the fully audible Prodigy Voice. Prodigy is continuing to make accessibility a priority. Prodigy released on April 1 the new and improved Count-a-dose, a syringe filling system for the blind and low-vision diabetic. Prodigy is working on a talking pill bottle and, later this year, Prodigy plans to roll out the worlds first and only fully audible insulin pump, giving blind and low-vision diabetics access to this diabetes management tool for the very first time.
Prodigy, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is the only company producing diabetes testing equipment and supplies to be given access awards from both the NFB and AFB. Prodigy is in the process of completing its Charlotte-based manufacturing and assembly facility, which will make Prodigy products truly American made.
