Dear colleagues interested in the prevention of diabetes,

Prevention of type 2 diabetes is now becoming in its mature stages. In less
than a decade, we have gone from discovering that it is preventable to
implementing diabetes prevention programs at regional and national scale.
But there are more and more challenges to address. Therefore I want to
invite you to build a worldwide network of people interested or being active
in diabetes prevention.

We have started this initiative with our international colleagues 8 month
ago and more than 3000 people from more than 130 countries registered
already worldwide. This is a great success and we are overwhelmed from the
response we are receiving. If you are interested you can register at the
worldwide network "Who are Active in Diabetes Prevention",

already in the last days.

Our organization is a non-profit institution lead by researchers and health
educators at the University of Dresden. We are looking to develop the
network as a tool available to all people interested in diabetes prevention
