Hello, Marilyn,
So, let's see what's good about diabetes? Those pleasures reserved for 
the inner circle that non-initiates never know?
1. Beginning with diagnosis, since everything we put into our mouths is 
counted, we never again have to eat something we don't like. Down with 
oatmeal! Gone with peas! To hell with carrots!
2. We have new talking, electronic gadgets which, if we're lucky, we 
even get the insurance companies or Uncle Sam to pay for.
3. When we finally eat something sweet, it tastes so, so good!
These are the three things I think of at the moment. Maybe someone can 
add to this list.
