The experts say moderation. If you eat something that you probably shouldn't 
have eaten, then feed your craving and go back to your normal healthy eating 
style. The trick is to check your blood sugars and if over 150 then you need 
to take some coverage, inslun or bill according to your Dr.

Yeah, I'm afraid I can be a bit of a synic myself. In the first three
years of living with diabetes I was given five completely different
diets. And now of course, every man woman and child should be on
cholesterol lowering drugs. It can sure be hard to tell what's just a
fad these days, can't it. Bottom line is that we've all signed up for
our own life-long individual research projects. Test to find out what
different foods do to us; how we respond to stress, to exercise, to
season changes, etc. Frankly, we need mentors more than mandates. <grin.>
