Hi Veronica and all,

I hope this new insulin works fror you. I had so much troubletrying to control the Type 1 diabetes. I had it for 52 years and now, 2 years ago, I had an islet cell transplant.
All has been going well and I can hardly beleive the changes! I have eaten things this past month I never dreamed of! I never knew such foods existed! My doctors were very happy to hear that I had been sampling these sweet foods. How strange! I was so accustomed to being "bad" for eating sweets! Now they are all happy! Life is very strange. Blood sugars seem to stay in the normal range. Blood sugars were getting low on the tandem bike rides. Now I find I just need to eat more protein. I had always been afraid to eat much protein because of harm to the kidneys.

So, life is good and I hope to meet some of you at the ACB Convention in Reno.

Take care,
Sally
