Hello Alice, Bill here.

I gather that you are wanting the Diabetes Association to provide print data
into LP or braille, etc.? I don't think I ever received or asked for data
from the main honchos. I've found more than I can use from the TB library,
from the numerous books on the subject of diabetes from A to Z; from the
ABCs of diabetes, and even the QRST of diabetes.

Furthermore, there are the monthly mags, Diabetes Forecast, and Diabetes
Self-Management.

And from the web we can search for and find dozens of websites regarding
research findings, discovered by numerous famous universities and research
foundations. For example, <ediet.com,> and "A Doctor's Calory Counter and
Carb Fat Counter, available on-line or book store;

RC 63411,  -- guidelines to Type II;

RC 63807; Cheating 'Destiny;

and many more at our fingertips at the library or the web or from the
Diabetes Support email sites from NFB and ACBDA and others.

I don't know if this was what you are looking for. Nevertheless, I pass it
on with a smile.

If you have just been dx. with diabetes in the past year, and tried
to get information from the American Diabetes Association in an
alternate format with no success or were given information from your
physician from the ADA in print then please contact me of list at
alice.ritchhart at comcast.net so we can talk. I along with Sue Ammeter
are trying to gather information so we can write a letter to the
American Diabetes Association about alternate format. So if you are
newly dx. or if you have tried as a person with diabetes in past year
to obtain alternate format information from ADA please contact me.
Thanks:
Alice Ritchhart
