Hi Dee,
I forgot one thing when I sent the first message wishing you good luck
tomorrow.
My HDL is higher than yours, but it is still not as high as they would like
it to be. I have been told repeatedly that the only to bring it up is
exercise. I exercise pretty regularly most of the time. My strength and
balance have improved but they are still not happy with the HDL. I know you
won't be exercising very much in the immediate future, although I imagine
you will have some physical therapy at some point. Once you are able I
would encourage you to participate in some kind of exercise. There are even
exercises that can be done in a wheelchair.
Best of luck tomorrow.
Marilyn

Hi Pat and All,
As far as I know I will be on the meeting on the 27th. I go into the
hospital tomorrow morning at 9:30 to have surgery for a knee replacement.
Surgery is scheduled for 11:30. I will be out of the hospital and home
hopefully on August 23rd.
I went for my preop check on the 7th and got my A1C report. It was realoly
great this time at 5.4. My cholesterol was 95 and the triglycerides you
below 200. I ned to work on bringing up the good cholesterol, though. It
was 25 and they like it to be around 40 or 50. I guess I have to eat more
dark greeen vegetables but if anyone has any suggestions please pass them
along.
Will talk to everyone at the end of the week or over next weekend.
Dee
