Julie,

How high is your A1C? What do you think is keeping it up?

Good luck, Dee. Hope all goes well. I am, and have been, concerned with my
A1C levels. Very hard to bring them down. But it is the only lab value
that is abnormal. I'd love to be under 7!! Dee , we will be anxiously
awaiting report of your progress.

    Hi Pat and All,

As far as I know I will be on the meeting on the 27th. I go into the
hospital tomorrow morning at 9:30 to have surgery for a knee replacement.
Surgery is scheduled for 11:30. I will be out of the hospital and home
hopefully on August 23rd.

I went for my preop check on the 7th and got my A1C report. It was realoly
great this time at 5.4. My cholesterol was 95 and the triglycerides you
below 200. I ned to work on bringing up the good cholesterol, though. It
was 25 and they like it to be around 40 or 50. I guess I have to eat more
dark greeen vegetables but if anyone has any suggestions please pass them
along.

Will talk to everyone at the end of the week or over next weekend.

Dee
