[acb-diabetics] Confusion about starches and legumes.

I’ve been a type II diabetic for almost two years and have met with a dietician once. However, I read something about legumes being good for you and a good substitute for meat. But some other beans and peas are considered starch. Can someone shed light for me on what beans are good to eat and others that need to be counted as starch? Thanks.
