The people at Biosense Medical Devices who make the Solometer helped to find 
a distributor of the test strips in my area that would take my insurance. 
Your friend can go to solometers.com and contact them by phone or by email. 
Hopefully, they can help find someone in the area who would carry the strips 
and work with the insurance company.

have friends with solo meter that they bought at speak to me, but speak to
me doesn't take medicare/humana so they want place to get strips that'll
take insurance.
