Well, in addition to this ridiculous discrimination, I hope someone 
challenges the practice of making people send in their meter every 
three months so the government can see if we've been good little boys 
and girls, testing when we say we do and not selling our strips on 
the black market for money so that we can do, ahem, what with a 
meter? This is a waste of plastic and terrible environmental 
stewardship. A meter can last a long time. Think of how much money 
somebody would save by not buying all those extra meters. Dumb! Dumb! Dumb!
But Nancy, Ken is right. I'd look at your insurance policy and file 
an appeal according to their rules, in which you explain that you 
have recourse with the department of justice according to the 
Americans with disabilities act reasonable accommodation provisions. 
Don't let them get away with this. You matter!
