Additionally, by cutting down on protein without, say, increasing fat,
you'll be more likely to feel hungry and be tempted to eat extra
carbohydrate - not necessarily a good idea for a diabetic unless he/she has
stock in an insulin manufacturer! (grin)

Why do you want to eat less protein? Are you having kidney problems?
Eating less protein its probably not a good idea unless you have kidney
problems. Protein has no carbs and it fills you up more than eating carbs
would. Adding more fat would not be good either as diabetics do not process
large amounts of fats well. The only way to eat less protein is to cut down
on the amount of protein you are eating, such as eating 2 oz. Of meat
instead of 4 ox. Eating tofu will also give you less protein as an equal
amount of meat has half the protein in it.
