[acb-diabetics] sources of protein

Some beans and nuts have carbohydrates. For example, 1/2 cup of black beans is 15 grams of carbohydrate. Nuts also have good natural fats, but I have heard that only a very small serving of them is needed. I like to eat vegetarian as much as possible. The problem is that homemade recipes--especially when someone doesn't measure ingredients--are tricky to figure out carb amounts for. Most people don't understand that diabetics--especially people with Type 1--use carbohydrates to determine insulin and not glycemic index, which is quite frustrating. I will stop ranting now.

Hello, I have decided to make some changes in my diet. one is not to eat as much meat. So I am looking at some good sources of protein.
Thank you in advance.
