Thanks to the KY host committee for preparing this informative hotel
overview.
> HOTEL OVERVIEW
> The following information is not intended to be a comprehensive
> guide to the hotel public meeting spaces. It gives brief
> directions to meeting rooms and restaurants, and uses the
> elevators as reference points. Escalators and steps also give
> quick access to many areas.
> SUITE TOWER
> First floor: There are three entrances to the East Tower, with
> the center one being a revolving door. A large rug is located in
> front of each entrance. Tour buses will load from this area.
> With your back to the outside doors, beginning on your left and
> moving around the lobby, you first find escalators to the second
> and third floors. Then comes the Concierge Desk, and then a
> short hall to the left leading to the elevator bay (4 elevators
> on left).
> Across the back of the lobby is the transportation desk and the
> front desk. The front desk is almost directly across from the
> outside doors, but a carpeted area and a glass table are in the
> center of the floor that you will need to go around. A few feet
> to the right of the front desk are stairs up to the second floor
> meeting rooms. Ascending these steps, you will be near the
> CarrollstFord room.
> To the right of the stairs is a small hall with one elevator on
> the right and a door to steps on the left; these give access to
> the parking garage.
> Back at the outside doors, turn right to find carpet. Stayin
> on the tile floor with the carpet on your right. There is a
> large glass bird cage on your left and seating on the right.
> Next on the left is an open area with business offices and
> restrooms, and a large seating area. On the right is more
> seating. Continue into the hallway to the Wilkinson, Sampson and
> Laffoon rooms on the left, stairs up to the second and third
> floor meeting rooms on the right, and a door to the parking
> garage at the end of the hall.
> Second floor: From the main elevators, turn right. Meeting
> rooms are only on the left. A railing overlooking the lobby is
> on the right. Escalators are directly behind the elevators.
> On the left, in this order, are: Collins, Brown, and
> CarrollstFord rooms; the steps from the lobby near the hotel
> front desk; the women's restroom and a hall to the left with the
> men's room and another entrance to the CarrollstFord room at the
> end on the left; Nunn, Breathitt and CombsstChandler rooms; and a
> long counter with the ACB Caf`every. Across from the Caf`e are
> the steps down to Wilkinson, Sampson and Laffoon and up to the
> office tower. The Volunteer and Information Desks are located
> near the ACB Caf`every.
> Pass the Caf`e and make a left into a long hall. On the left
> is the ACB Marketplace, the second entrance to CombsstChandler,
> and several entrances to the Grand Ballroom. On the right is a
> narrow hallway leading to the office tower, the exhibit hall, and
> restrooms at the end.
> Turning right into the office tower hall, a UPS store is on the
> right and Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse is at the end of the hall.
> Because of the slope of the ground, you are now on the first
> floor of the office tower. Turning left and walking down the
> hall you pass the first set of elevators (4 on right, 2 on left),
> Coffee on the Run and a small convenient store and a security
> desk on the left, an exit to Main Street and stairs leading up on
> the right, a second bank of four elevators on the right,
> restrooms and a third bank of six elevators.
> To cross to the Rivue Tower or use the pedway to the office
> tower: Back at the main East Tower elevators, exit onto the tile
> on the third floor. The escalators are once again immediately
> behind the elevators. Turn right or left to go around the
> elevators. Pass the escalator and continue straight to the
> entrance to the Conservatory (for the Rivue Tower), or turn left
> into the pedway to the office tower.
> The Conservatory connects the Rivue and Suite Towers. The
> acoustics change dramatically, and there is an unusual amount of
> echo in the Conservatory. Seating is throughout the entire area.
> Also J's Bar is along the right side, and Thelma's Deli is at the
> far end. A large bird cage is in the center. The Conservatory
> is carpeted, except for the tile in front of Thelma's. There are
> two sets of double doors to the left of Thelmas into the Rivue
> Tower.
> RIVUE TOWER
> Entering the Rivue Tower from the Conservatory, you are on a
> tile floor. An ATM is on the wall on your right and the down
> escalator is to your left.
> Pass the ATM and turn right into a hall; seating is on right,
> shops on the left: Dolfinger's; Storylines by regalo; and 3rd
> Floor Spirits and M. An exit at the end of the hall leads to a
> long outdoor pedway. Fencing around the pool is at the end of
> this pedway; turn left and follow the fencing on your right to
> the pool entrance. Another entrance to the hotel (near the
> "tree" rooms) is on the left.
> Back at the Conservatory, pass the end of the escalator
> enclosure on your left and turn left. Small tables and chairs
> may be arranged along the side of the escalator, and shops are on
> the right: Mint Julep Tours and Gifts; Koi Gallery Gemstone and
> Sterling Silver Jewelry; regalo Original Art, Gifts and
> Collectibles; and Nichola's Divinely Different Clothing and
> Accessories.
> Back at the Conservatory, cross the tile floor to carpet. Walk
> straight to a registration counter located in front of the
> ArchibaldstCochran Ballroom. Archibald is to the left of the
> desk; Cochran is to the right. The elevators are on the wall to
> your right as you face the registration counter.
> Face the elevators and move to your right to find a hall
> leading back along the right of the elevators. Doors to
> Dolfinger's, Stohy Lines and 3rd Floor Spirits and More are on
> your right; the exit at the end of this hall is the one across
> from the entrance to the pool. Pool hours are 10:00 AM to 10:00
> PM, and there is a lifeguard on duty.
> Instead of going outside, turn left and pass soft drink
> machines. The Dogwood and Holly rooms are on the left; Poplar,
> Maple and Walnut are on the right; and Willow is at the end of
> the hall. A small hall with stairs up and down and an exit to
> the pool area and the Waterside Caf`e is between Poplar and
> Maple.
> Second floor: Take the elevator down from the third floor. The
> elevator opens into a large seating area. Follow the wall on the
> right to a hall; turn right to find a men's room on the right and
> a tiled entrance to Jockey Silks Bourbon Bar on the left.
> From the elevators, turn left and then left again into the hall
> that leads to the Caf`e Magnolia.
> Back at the elevator, turn left, then right. Pass stairs up
> and down, a hallway to the escalators, and a women's restroom on
> the left. Near the end of the hall, just before the carpet ends,
> is an entrance to Hair Cutters. On the tile floor, turn right
> into a hall. Hair Cutters and the Daisy and Sunflower rooms are
> on the right; Jasmine, Lily and Violet meeting rooms and a
> photography studio are on the left; and an exit is at the end of
> the hall.
> First floor: Exit the elevators; a parking garage is to the
> right and two lobby doors to the outside are several feet to the
> left. The exit on the left is a revolving door. A large rug is
> in front of each exit. Escalators and steps up to the second
> floor are off to the right just before you reach the exits.
> To cross between the towers on street level: Exit the Rivue
> Tower; walk straight ahead to cross 4th Street at the crosswalk.
> The Suite Tower doors are several feet to the right.
> OFFICE TOWER
> Beginning at the ACB Caf`e on the second floor of the East
> Tower, turn left into the wide hallway that leads to the Grand
> Ballroom and the Exhibit Hall. Make a quick right into the
> Office Tower hall. You are now on the first floor of the Office
> Tower.
> Walk to the end of the hall and make a left to find the three
> elevator banks going up to the meeting rooms. Rooms closest to
> the first set of elevators are Beckham and McCreary. Jones is
> near the second set, and Stopher and Coe are closest to the third
> set of elevators.
> Or access these rooms via the pedway near the Conservatory, or
> by the escalator in the Exhibit Hall. Rooms closest to the
> escalator are Jones, French and Segell.
> To reach the office tower from the Conservatory, face the doors
> into the Conservatory in the East Tower; turn left and follow the
> long pedway until you go up an incline into the office tower.
> The steps across from the ACB Caf`e will be on your left.
> Turn left into the hall. Bradley, Fields, and Morrow are on
> your left; an office, a break room, and Stanley are on the right.
> Turn right into a hall; one entrance to McCreary is at the end of
> this hall on your right. Turn left into the next hall; Willson
> and Taylor are on the left; Beckham and Jones are on the right..
> An air-conditioning unit is on the right before you reach Jones.
> Turn right just after the air-conditioning unit and walk through
> the hall to the large hall with the elevators. Turn right to
> find second entrances to Beckham and McCreary; left to another
> entrance to Jones. The elevators are across the hall.
> Pass Jones and two sets of double doors on the left leading to
> the escalator in the exhibit hall. Past the escalator are French
> (on the left), Segell (on the right), elevators on both sides,
> Stopher (in front of you), and Coe (to the left at the end of a
> short hall).
