I've had them test my thumbs at the doctor's office before with no problem.

Don't know why that would be.  I use my thumbs all the time.

anyone have a solution to this? When I was first diagnosed as diabetic I was

told not to use my thumbs for testing. Other than being aware that the 
thumbs are used for gripping, I am not sure why I should avoid testing with 
my thumbs. Anyone else know?
