Howdy Barb,
When sending checks in the mail, enclose the check in a blank sheet of
typing paper before putting it in the envelope.
Secondly, do not address the envelope to "Treasurer" of an organization.
Mail theft is common nowadays, so don't give any clues that money or checks
or any other valuables are enclosed.
Lastly, send money and valuables "insured or registered mail.

I just emailed alice to let her know i'm sending raffle money again. my
first attempt to send to nancy clayton never arrived. this is the second
check that's apparently been lost in the mail. hope alice gets this one.
