How horrible that the couple from Missouri should be permanently denied the
right to care for their firstborn.
Our family went through this a similar scenario shortly after hubby's
accident and onset of disability. We were home schooling and I had to take on
2 jobs to pay bills. The Department of Human Services claimed that even
though hubby had 2 college degrees because he was disabled he was supposedly
not able to care for the children and the home. The case was finally thrown
out but the City came back later to harass us and tried to take our dogs
and our home from us. Eventually they succeeded in taking our home while
hubby was at an out of town year long rehab program. It is sad that such
insanity still exists. WE MUST BE MORE vigilant and diligent in our watchdog
activities. As the old sayings go: an ounce of prevention is worth a pound
of cure and an pound of pretension is worth a pound of manure. I say sue
for pain and suffering!
