Can you tell me what this link is? I have had problems with spam from other lists so I do not click on a link unless I am sure it is sent from a real person.

Hi. I, personally, do not have a problem with pprofessionals who do do life coaching. I know many of my colleagues do. I think, as long as they know their limitations and keep their boundaries clear, and make it clear to their clients, it should not be a problem. But then, this is true with any level of training and expertise as far as I am concerned. I have seen people with BS level, or nonlicensed professionals way overstep their boundaries, doing things they are dei qualified or trained to do just because they read or heard about it somewhere and think it sounds cool. I cannot tell you how many colleagues I know who experienced EMDR or Thought Field or EFT for themselves at a workshop or maybe in therapy, then without any training or certification, busted right bacak to their office and used it with their clienjs. Oooh! Shudder!
Or read about CBT from a book and decided they knew all about the to echniq-es of Ellis in rational-emotive. Yikes!
So, the life coach needs to understand that he/she does not resolve trauma with life coaching; however, it is great for career coaching or decision-making about careers, education, weight and time management—such things as that.
