Hi:

I highly recommend the book "Battle Hymn of a Tiger Mom."  For 
those do are blind, the book is available on Bookshare.org.  It 
is especially interesting for artists as the author talks of her 
efforts to mold her daughters to be world-class musicians.  Her 
tactics, IMHO, are downright ruthless at times, but by and large, 
both daughters appear to be doing remarkably well.  Among other 
things, she is a good writer.
