[acb-hsp] ACB-HSP Conference Call Summary for January 2, 2011

The call began at 8:30 pm. EST, 5:30 pm. PST.  Darian Slayton Fleming 
presided over the call, on which four members were present.  It was decided 
that, due to the Super Bowl and other scheduling conflicts, there would be 
no members' conference call in February.  Instead, a conference call for 
officers will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 3:00 pm. PST, 6:00 pm. 
EST.  On this call, we will discuss programming for the upcoming 
conference/convention in July. Marleen will send a reminder Email to the 
officers about this call.
All members, and anyone wishing to join ACB-HSP must have their dues paid by 
February 1, 2011.  Dues are $10 per year, and should be sent to our 
Treasurer, Deanna Austin.  Checks should be made payable to ACB-HSP.

Darian will contact Deanna to see if she would be willing to do a 
presentation on Bioptic Driving on one of our conference calls.  Linda 
Porelle stated that Richard Rueda, the President of CCLVI (Council of 
Citizens with Low Vision International) had expressed an interest in 
possibly doing a joint presentation with us at the upcoming 
conference/convention.  Linda will pursue this matter further.
Darian gave a presentation on weight management and nutrition.  She has 
composed a synopsis of her presentation, which is attached to the minutes.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 pm. EST., 6:30 pm. PST.
