Hello Fellow ACB Leaders and Friends:

After much thought and careful consideration, I hereby declare my 
candidacy
for the office of ACB treasurer in the election to be conducted 
at the
upcoming national conference and convention in Reno, Nevada.  
While I am
acutely cognizant of the fact that I have not had a  presence at 
national
conventions for many years due to family obligations, these 
obligations are
no longer in play, and I am therefore now in a position to 
dedicate my
skills and talents to the service of ACB at the national level to 
the same
extent as I am privileged to have been able to do for the Old 
Dominion
Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired, (ODCBVI), for the 
past thirty
years.

In apparent recognition of my long-standing record of dedicated 
service to
both ODCBVI, the Virginia state affiliate, and the NOVA Council, 
ODCBVI's
northern virginia local chapter, (the details of which will be 
set forth in
the locations / settings referenced below), the ODCBVI board, by 
motion
adopted at its June 18th meeting, has heartily endorsed my 
candidacy, and it
is with deep humility and gratitude that I accept and welcome 
their support.
