Duties:


PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT

Perform all clerical duties in the Technology for the Blind 
program with
the additional responsibility of reading and assisting with
transportation of equipment and legally blind staff throughout 
the state
to consumer's homes.  Duties include the composition of agency 
purchase
orders, maintaining department database and case records, 
ordering
supplies, receiving and routing telephone calls, preparing 
reports,
processing all essential program/agency fiscal and case documents 
in a
timely and accurate fashion and assisting the program manager in 
all
office/agency related matters.  Must have a current and valid
Massachusetts Driver's License.  Must own vehicle to transport 
staff and
or equipment to consumer's home or work site.


Qualifications:


MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE: None.

LICENSES:

Based on assignment, travel may be required.  Those employees who 
elect
to use a motor vehicle for travel must have a current and valid
Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's license or the 
equivalent
from another state.


Preferred Qualifications:


1.  Experience working with disabled populations.

2.  Knowledge of computer software programs including Windows XP,
Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.

3.  Excellent interpersonal skills.

4.  Helpful and pleasant telephone skills.
