Let me tell you, I"m seriously thinking about relocation. WV is a dreadful place for allergies. For one thing, just about everything grows here. For the second, we have no salt air and so it is filty in terms of ladden with pollens--all year around but especially, well, this year all, but generally March right through NOvember. But this past winter in the Eastern panhandle, nothing ever did freeze out so it has been doubly hard. I'm on Prednisone for the 2nd time this summer--and I haven't taken that stuff in forever! Its sumac, again.
So yeah, definitely looking for a better place in terms of the allergies for me.
A friend of mine lived in FL, then CA, and then came here. Until coming here, he had never had allergies; now, he is sick with them all year round. If its not the pollen, its the mold or the mites, or ...

Another good treatment for allergies is relocation. My wife had terrible plant allergies when she lived in Ohio. They disappeared when she moved to southern CA.

Hi. Well again, many people take this hormone for the wrong purpose. They think it is to help them sleep as in, relax, make them sleepy, etc., like sleeping pills. That is not its purpose, its intended statement. It is to regulate the sleep, to tell the brain it is time to go to sleep, and to reset the biological clock. So, if you have no plan of doing that, as in going to bed at the same time, resetting your biological clock, then there's no point to taking Mellatonin.
There are a lot of other perfectly wonderful natural remedies out there--I'm not getting into them because you're as free and capable of finding them as I do, and I'm not a Certified herbologist or naturopath, <smiles> but they are there.
I guess my point to all of this is, there are natural remedies, over-the-counter drugs (meds), and prescribed drugs (meds) out there. Every one of them can be helpful or cause great problems for any one person. And all of them are equally misused and abused.
I just spent the afternoon sound asleep after taking Benadryl for an allergy attack over Benadryl--which is supposed to be nondrowsy. <LOL> The stuff makes me feel like a slug and I really question just how much it does for allergies but okay. I'll take some more anyway because I can sleep and I'm tired of the itching. <smiles>
