That is my hope, too, Andy; I hear Columbus has quite a lot to do, too, and
maybe I can work in a short family visit, as that is about as long as I can
stand them but do need to do my duty, as there are some to whom I am very
close I know won't be around that much longer.

Yeah! I won't be in Louisville either, but will be in OH next year.

The program planned sounds very interesting.

Sorry I won't be there.

I do plan on being on the August conference call on 8/12.

Perhaps next summer I'll be able to make Ohio.

The call began at 8:30 pm. EDT., 5:30 pm. PDT. In attendance were
Marleen O'Neill, Andy Baracco, Darian Slayton Fleming, and Donna Williams.
The topic for discussion was a preview of the ACB-HSP program at the ACB
conference and convention that will be held in Louisville Kentucky from July
6 through July 14, 2012, and a discussion regarding the future of ACB-HSP.
Regarding the ACB-HSP program, there will be a non-alcoholic happy hour on
Tuesday, July 10 from 5:45 to 7:00 pm. Non-alcoholic beverages will be
served, along with popcorn, soft pretzels, and mustard dip. The ACB-HSP
business meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 11 from 1:15 to 2:30, and
the presentation will begin at 2:45 and last until 4:00 pm. Peter Altschul
will speak on diversity in the workplace, and how to create a diversity
training that includes disability as a topic. Darian suggested that a
training for employers regarding disability be created, and she will ask
Peter about that in the question and answer session following his
presentation. The affiliate cost will be $8 preregistration, and $10 at the
door. The cost for the happy hour will be $10 preregistration, and $12 at
the door. The business meeting is free, but the presentation will cost $8
preregistration, and $10 at the door. The topic of discussion for the
August conference call will be a synopsis of what transpired at the
convention. Darian stated that she and Deanna Austin will collect dues at
each event, and she will try to find out what members want for the future of
ACB-HSP. Due to a scheduling conflict for Darian, the August conference
call will be held on August 12 instead of August 5. A brainstorming session
was held regarding the problem of low attendance at the conference calls,
and it was agreed that this topic will be revisited after the ACB conference
and convention, where Darian hopes to get some feedback from the membership.
The call was adjourned at 9:30 pm. EDT., 6:30 pm. PDt.

	Respectfully Submitted,

	Marleen O'Neill

	Secretary

	ACB-HSP

	American Council of the Blind

	Human Service Professionals
