ACBL Open Board Meeting via Conference Call

April 5, 2012

The ACBL open board meeting via conference call was called to order on
Thursday at 9:00 p.m. EST. Those in attendance were: William Benjamin,
Sally Benjamin, Margaret Johnson, Adam Ruschival, Carla Ruschival, LouAnn
Williams, Karen Eitel, Grady Ebert, Elaine Weisbard, Kenneth Semien, Curtis
Dameron, Jim Shaw, Brad Greenspan, and Gayle Adams. Lion Carla Ruschival
noted that she had just been informed by Sharon Lovering in the National
office that Lion Bobby Burke had recently passed away.

The minutes from the March conference call were read and approved.

Lion Adam Ruschival reported an amount of $7,319.00 in the treasury after
receipt of dues. He stated that he reported 70 members to the National
office, and of this amount seven were counted as life members. ACBL will
have three votes at the conference and convention this summer. Anyone who
pays dues at some time the rest of this year will be counted for the
membership report in 2013. This report was also accepted.

The menu for the ACBL luncheon at the upcoming conference and convention on
Wednesday was discussed, and the menu will be tomato salad, fried chicken,
mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and strawberry shortcake for
dessert. Lion Adam Ruschival agreed to find a speaker for the program.
There will also be an election of officers at the luncheon. Lion Adam
Ruschival suggested that people introduce themselves at the luncheon and
talk about the activities of their clubs at Millie's Pin Swap. The price of
the luncheon will be $27.00 prereg. and $29.00 at the door.

The ACBL Local Lions Club Visit during the conference and convention will be
with the Louisville East Lions Club where Lion Adam Ruschival's sister is a
member. The Luncheon will be held on Thursday at APH in the conference room
on the 4th floor. The price will be $20.00 prereg. and $22.00 at the door.

The treats for the Millie's Pin Swap at the conference and convention on
Saturday night will be the Louisville Slugger Break with sodas and beer.
The price will be $12.00 Prereg. and $15.00 at the door.

There will be an ACBL board meeting on Sunday morning at 9:30.

ACBL will be sponsoring the Scholarship Support project as a Pearl Sponsor
again this year in the amount of $1,000.00. Lion President William Benjamin
encouraged everyone to ask for help from their local Lions Clubs for this
project.

Lion President William Benjamin stated that he will identify the nominating
committee before the next board meeting. He also said he would like anyone
who plans to run for an office to be aware of the duties and
responsibilities and that attending the monthly conference calls should
certainly be a requirement for holding office. Lion Carla Ruschival
volunteered to distribute copies of the ACBL Constitution in print, Braille,
cassette, and e-mail.

Realizing no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
