The software is a free download, and does not come with the cable.

While I have the software, I have never tried to use it. I have been 
told it is doable, but you must be prepared to use the jaws cursor and 
route the PC to Jaws for a lot of the programming functions.

Someone else on this list who is more knowledgeable about the software 
can answer your software related questions far better than me.
