Subject: [leadership] US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood to resign

 

Deeply missed. I realize that not all were fans or thought that Ray Lahood
went far enough, but if you compare him to all of his predecessors, he looks
pretty good. I wonder if FTA Administrator Peter Rogoff has a shot. He's
perhaps even better.

 

The New York Times reported this morning that Ray LaHood, the Obama
Administration's Secretary of Transportation, will resign at the end of the
President's first term.  This is a real loss for the blindness community and
the disability community generally.  Mr. LaHood has been an effective
advocate for accessibility and  mass transit.  He will be missed.  Chris
