[announce] Alert: Senate Bill Passes Through HELP Committee with Prescription Drug Labeling Language Included

As expected, the Senate Help Committee approved by voice vote the Food and
Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act yesterday afternoon. The
accessible prescription drug labeling language that we negotiated with
committee staff was included and remained unchanged which is excellent news!


 The bill has not been formally introduced as yet so it does not have a
number. 

  A specific time line for the bill to come to the Senate floor has not been
announced but stay tuned for more information to follow in the coming weeks.
. 

As I mentioned in a message last week, ACB is actively working to insure
that the same drug labeling language will appear in the House's version of
the legislation. Congratulations to one and all! We're making significant
progress.
