The FIA showcase is one of the most well attended events during convention week. Don't miss it! Get your tickets for the talent showcase for Tuesday evening.
BASBALL ANYONE?
A Diamondback baseball game and Lunch is on the agenda for Sunday the 11th at this year's convention in Phoenix. And yes, the ballpark is about 3 blocks from the hotel.
There will also be a tour of the park during the week.
For details, see convention program materials.
On-line preregistration
To reach the form, go to
www.acb.org
and follow the Conference and
Convention link. When you first enter the pre-registration area, you will
be on the Convention Scope page. There will be basic information,
instructions on how to make hotel reservations, tour descriptions and more.
When you go to the actual pre-registration form, you will find that all of
the fields for entering your basic information, all of the events, and all
of the spaces where you order things like T-shirts, newspaper delivery etc.
are on one page. You may read up and down as much as you like; you are
welcome to use it for informational purposes, since if you don't want to
complete the form right away you can just leave the page and nothing is
saved.
The third page is for your credit card information. Remember that your
registration is not completed until you pay for the items you have ordered.
BLIND PRIDE'S HOSPITALITY SUITE
Again this year, the Blind Pride hospitality suite will be open to members and friends from Sunday through Friday. Stop by and take a break from your hectic convention schedule and meet old and new friends. Our mixer, tenth anniversary party and the private screening of the movie "Milk" all will be held in the hospitality suite.
Those who would like their room on the same floor as the Blind Pride Suite, should let Don Brown know at president at blind-lgbt-pride.org, before July 6th.
GRAND CANYON TOUR
The tour will leave the hotel on Friday morning, July 9, about 6:30 a.m. and
return just before midnight. The tour includes a stop at a Navajo
reservation, where you will have a lunch and some time to shop. You will
arrive at the canyon's south rim in the early afternoon, and will enjoy a
special program planned for our group. Dinner is at the canyon, and you
begin your return to Phoenix between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m.
Cost of the tour is $95 per person, and this includes transportation, lunch
and dinner. You will want to bring along extra cash for souvenirs and maybe
a snack or two, just as you would on any other day-long tour.
This tour is wheelchair-accessible.
See convention program materials for more details.
