Hi All,
Hey, Albert, nice to see you got on this list! And Don Brown, I didn't know
you were also a guide dog user! Where is your dog from?

I am Lyn Gwizdak and I am a visually impaired Transsexual man seven months
into my transition. I realized that what I was, was called transgender two
years ago when I was 58 and began my transition at age 60. A nice way to
start my sixth decade. I work as a pet assisted therapist with my Seeing
Eye dog, Landon, a Lab/Golden cross who is going to be six years on November
20th. He gets to celebrate his birthday at our local LGBT Center at the
Transgender Day of Rememborance - he gets to see his favorite Trans friends!

Landon and I are very active in the LGBT community and our local LGBT
Democratic club. We do take the time to just hang out with friends and
their guide dogs to have fun.

I'm not able to afford the ACB conventions so I may not get to meet any of
you at Blind LGBT Pride but glad it is there for us. Don, I was wondering
why none of the California Blind LGBT Pride members don't meet at the CCB
state conventions. I went to the convention last year when it was in San
Diego but no Blind LGBT Pride was there. I coouldn't afford to go to this
year's one in LA.

Just so you all know, here in San Diego, our local Pride organization is
sponsoring a contingent of LGBT veterans and active duty servicemembers in
our Veterans Day Parade this coming Friday - the first time an LGBT
contingent has been in this parade. Some friends and I are going to go
watch and support our LGBT and otherwise troops. Also, this past summer's
LGBT Pride Parade saw the first ever contingent of active duty LGBT
servicemembers and supporters just prior to the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't
Tell policy. We were the first in the country to have this at our Pride
Parade! I didn't get to see them because I was in the Transgender
contingent.

This is great - I love to hear abouot the other members.

Cheers,

Lyn and Landon
