Telling Your Story
There are almost 200 members of Blind-LGBT-Pride International, and each one of our members has a story to tell: stories about growing up blind and growing up gay or lesbian in a world that has not always been accepting or accommodating.
Some members may have struggled with only one issue; others may have struggled with both. In any case, each story is a powerful personal experience that is unique, yet consisting of common threads that unite us to each other.
The Board of Directors invites you to tell your story, which will be published in a special segment of the December, 2011 edition of the Inside Out Newsletter. Tell us about your struggles, your joys and triumphs as a blind or visually impaired gay or lesbian individual.
If you would like to share your story, please submit your story to the editor at LavenderQ at comcast.net. Please limit your submission to approximately 600 words. Please specify if you want your full name or your first name and initial or just your initials used.
Submissions may be edited.
The deadline for submissions is November 20, 2011.
