Blind-lgbt-pride International’s Board of Directors is seeking a National Delegate.
Given the travel and lodging expenses associated with this position, BPI’s Board has voted to provide the selected individual a financial stipend.
Who’s eligible?
The National Delegate shall be in good standing and preferably would have attended at least one national Convention.
ROLS AND RESPONSABILITIES
The National Delegate acts as a liaison between Blind LGBT Pride International and the American council of the Blind. The Delegate shall keep abreast of all internal developments and legislation pursued by ACB and shall inform and advise BPI’s membership on these matters.
It is anticipated that the delegate will be seated with the BPI delegation during business meetings of the general assembly at the National Conference and Convention.
In the event of a roll call vote, to the extent possible, the Delegate shall caucus with other members and cast BPI’s votes from the convention floor.
The National delegate shall have access to internal documents and will be expected to participate in regularly scheduled monthly BPI Board of Director’s meetings.
Unlike elected BPI Board members, the national Delegate does not have the privilege to initiate and second motions or casts votes.
The National Delegate serves at the pleasure of the President.
