"Four stars! GORGEOUS! SOUTH PACIFIC DOESN'T JUST FLOAT; IT SOARS!" - Elysa Gardner, USA Today "I know we're not supposed to expect perfection in this imperfect world, but I'm darned if I can find one serious flaw in this production." - Ben Brantley, The New York Times

A SHOW YOU WILL REMEMBER FOREVER!" - Michael Sommers, Star-Ledger

"Simply Wonderful! Beguiling Theatrical Magic!" hails the New York Post for the breathtaking new production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC. A stunning reinvention produced by Lincoln Center Theater, SOUTH PACIFIC swept the 2008 Tony(r) Awards, winning seven honors including Best Musical Revival and Best Director for Bartlett Sher. Set on a tropical island during World War II, the musical tells the sweeping romantic story of two couples and how their happiness is threatened by the realities of war and by their own prejudices. The beloved score's songs include "Some Enchanted Evening," "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair," "This Nearly Was Mine" and "There is Nothin' Like a Dame." USA Today cheers, "! Gorgeous! SOUTH PACIFIC doesn't just float; it soars!"

This breathtaking new production of SOUTH PACIFIC is based on the 2008 Tony Award(r) winning Lincoln Center Theater production, directed by Bartlett Sher.

Alaska: Spirit of the Wild

Opens Saturday, October 01, 2011

Take a journey to a place where nature enchants the eye with magnificent scenery—and where life triumphs season after season over fierce conditions and overwhelming challenges.

As Alaska's rhythms shift from harsh winter to gloriously intense summer, all its inhabitants—fish, bird, and mammal alike—partake feverishly of the seasonal abundance while it lasts. Grizzlies fish for up to 20 hours a day; moose graze pond bottoms; salmon struggle upstream to spawn; humpbacks, orcas, and blue whales feed on rich supplies of plankton, fish, and sea lions. Witness it all, savoring the persistent pulse of life that animates a land rich in history, spectacle, and beauty.

GREECE: SECRETS OF THE PAST

Opens Saturday, October 01, 2011

Explore the beautiful Greek islands and the roots of the Golden Age of Greece as we will follow a team of archaeologists piecing together the puzzles of ancient history and learn how the field of archeology has progressed. See how the island of Santorini—possibly home of Atlantis—was formed and how the island's volcanic eruption, one of the biggest explosions in Earth's history, occurred. Innovative computer graphic imaging (CGI) will restore the Parthenon to its original glory, showcasing how the ancient monument once looked. The film will also trace some of our modern society's customs: democracy, medicine, athletics and theater as we are transported on a modern-day journey through time and place.
