Learn About Bank Loans, Credit at Easter Seals Workshop

The who, what, why and how of bank loans will be the subject of a March 23
workshop run by the Massachusetts Assistive Technology (MA AT) Loan
Program, which is operated by Easter Seals.
The workshop – Financial Literacy 101 – is open to Massachusetts
residents and will be held at the Easter Seals office, 484 Main Street in
Worcester, beginning at 3 p.m. Dr. Jason Luciano, MA AT Loan Program director, will
 conduct the session.
Participants will learn basic banking terms, how to achieve a “top tier”
credit rating and how to borrow money. They also will gain an
understanding of the current credit climate and how to deal with various situations
that arise in the loan process.
This workshop is free, but space is limited and reservations are required.
To reserve a spot, call Leo Tonevski at 800-244-2756, ext. 428.
The MA AT Loan Program offers low-interest cash loans to individuals with
disabilities and their families so they can purchase much-needed assistive
technology and services that will enable them to live more independently.
The loans may be used to purchase communication devices, specially adapted
computers, Braille equipment and hearing, visual aids and much more. Adapted
vehicles and certain vehicle and home modifications also are eligible.
The program is operated by Easter Seals in partnership with the
Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) and Sovereign Bank.
