I found out since moving down here, that Fall River and surrounding
communities are having twenty percent of their tax dollars taken out to go
towards the MBTA.  There is absolutely zero services Ride or mainstream
transportation services provided by the MBTA that comes down here.  There is
this pipe dream that comuter rail services may come to Fall River but I
think hell will freeze over before that happens so maybe if legislation was
filed to have twenty percent that goes to the MBTA be taken away and given
to the Regional Transit Authorities, that is communities that don't receive
MBTA services, we might get somewhere in making accessible transportation
more localized.  It's a start and I know this would mean even less for the
MBTA but I am in a different place now.
