[fcb-l] December St. Pete Hilton advice

Hi Bill,
Trust me. I've learned the "Don't get too cocky" lesson a long time ago. That's always in the back of my mind.

If I could tag a long with any of you guy's, for a chow run, that would be great!
How about, on Friday, if we set up a place to meet, in the hotel, at 5:00 pm to go to dinner together?
Let me know what anybody thinks.
.... Mike

Rosanna speaks for all of us Mike, we'll watch for you. Confidence is great as long as you temper it with a certain amount of caution - safety comes first. As for the food thing I am a big fan of that Publix however you just might want to get one of us to help you find it, at least the first time. J

  Mike,

I KNOW I am speaking for all that are attending the board meeting when I say "just ask". We graciously accept new members who just happen to be tall and handsome!

Look for me when you arrive and I will help in any way you need(ALMOST!and chuckles are indeed welcome on this statement as my dearest FCB friends will read MORE into this than intended)

  Rosanna

  Thanks Rosanna!

I'm trying to put everything together, As this is my first time "flying solo"!

I mean this is the first time I'll be traveling by myself.

Yeah! I'm a little nervous, that's why I'm planning everything out to the hilt, like its OCD, or something!

In the past year, I've finally hit my stride with my vision loss. Six years ago, when I started playing this blind game, I was so terrified. I couldn't even walk down the street. I've been slowly learning how to do everything.

But this past year its like my confidence and my skills have gone up exponentially!

Long story short, I can't wait to go to the board meeting!

So if you are walking around the hotel and you keep hearing a rather tall, good looking? blind guy asking

  "Where the hell am I?"

Please, just smile and point him in the right direction.

  Slight chuckles are permissible!

Can't wait to see everyone up there!

    Hi,

There is a Publix in walking distance which makes great subs and has other take out meals. Also in that same plaza is a subway and a Chinese take out and I think a pizza place. The pier is within walking distance and has several places to eat on the water which are a bit pricey. There are lots of little restaurants in walking distance that range in price from low to expensive. The hotel has all the info as places change from year to year. I will try to get more exact details later today.

    Thanks for your patience

    Rosanna.

    Hello all!

I've got my room booked for the Board meeting.

Can anyone give me some details about what restaurants are within walking distance from the Hotel?

Any place ranging from Mc Donald's to Perkins.

    For breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As I'm putting together my plan of attack!

And the troop's are already hungry!

    Thanks, .... Mike
