Hi Pat,
The IPhone is truly a great and glorious thing, I am sure. However, should you wish to make an informed choice, and if you are not sure you want an IPhone, call the folks at AT&T. They have a special line for people with disabilities. They do not handle IPhones, but they can tell you about the other phones that are accessible. Keep in mind that should you choose to go that route, you will probably have to purchase Mobile Speak, which you can do through AT&T. They also may be able to tell you whether or not there is an Android phone which works well with Mobile Accessibility. This is available from Code Factory. When I purchased my current phone, I was told that they were testing Android phones, but they were not prepared at that time to give their final approval. However, that was a little over a year ago. I would recommend talking with the people at the NCCD. I have always found them to be very friendly and helpful.
Their number is
(866) 241-6568.
The best of luck to you. Please let me know how it goes, as I will be making that choice in a little less than a year.

Subject: [fcb-l] Need Help
Hi everyone.
Lucky me! My cell phone is on it's way out, and I'm faced with the challenge of finding a new one. This time around, I thought I would try and get something with voice over.
Does anyone know of an accessible cell phone that works with ATNT?
I've spoken with several folks from the company, and no one seems to have any knowledge on this topic.
Thanks.
And remember....
If you lack the courage to start, you have already finished.
