Hello to GDUI

Becky Barnes, President of GDUI,  called me last weekend to ask that I chair
the GDUI Moninating Committee. I am please to accept that responsibility.

I am looking for a few people that would be willing to serve on the
committee with me. If interested please get in touch buy emailing me at
cannonja22 at comcast.net with the words GDUI Nominating Committee in the
subject line or by calling me at 617-924-6099 evenings between 6:00 and 9:00
or weekends. Please keep in mind that I live in the Eastern part of the
United States when choosing the best time to call me.

Please also advise if you would like to run for any of the open positions
including President, First-Vice President, Second Vice-President, Secretary,
Treasurer or one of the two Director positions that are open for this year.
Please provide your name, phone number, state where you reside, position you
would like to be nominated for and why you would like to be considered for
the position. This information will help the committee in its work.

The GDUI Constitution states:

ARTICLE IV. OFFICERS and DIRECTORS

B. The President, First Vice-President, and Second Vice-President shall be
elected for terms of two (2) years and shall not be eligible to serve for
more than two (2) consecutive terms in the same office. 

C. The Secretary and Treasurer shall be elected for terms of two (2) years
and there shall be no term limits. 

e. GDUI shall elect six (6) directors with two (2) directors being elected
annually for terms of three (3) years, thereby creating staggered terms. No
member shall be eligible to serve for more than two (2) full terms as a
director.

F. There shall be no more than one (1) officers and no more than one (1)
directors elected from any single state, district, or possession except in
the case of Secretary and Treasurer who may be elected from and reside in
the same state, district, or
possession as other officers and/or directors.

I am looking forward to hearing from anyone who wishes to serve on this
important committee and those wishing to be considered by the committee for
nomination to a GDUI position.
