I just went to the Brockton Enterprise web site, it looks like she was in
the paper twice, once on Thursday and then once the owner heard about the
incident since it was in the paper, she went and apologize to Claire so it
was in the paper and on TV again. Way to go Claire! You did a good job
representing us. I hope to meet you someday!

Carl,

Claire Crowell of Brockton is a member of GDUM. She has Vixen, a lab
from the Seeing Eye. I spoke with her today, and she was great ...
Thursday afternoon, she went to the Chinese restaurant in question with
a friend for a spontaneous lunch, and was refused access. She called the
reporter from the Brockton Enterprise and they ran the story, which also
got all the TV stations interested Channels 4, 5, and 7. She did a great
job advocating for guide dog users and for people with disabilities
wishing to be treated like everyone else. She's a real hot ticket
<smile>

Hi Carl,

I just hit the Enter key on the web site address and the video clip
opened
and played. I hope the restaurant owner better educates her staff about
the
rights of service dog owners in public accommodations. I was glad she
personally apologized to the guide dog user. Does anyone know this guide
dog
user?
